For Independence

These two brave men died in the cause of independence for Kosova on 10th Feb, 2007.

While taking part in a peaceful demonstration calling for a referendum and end to the 8 year rule of UNMIK,

they were shot dead at close range by Romanian UN police. A further 80 were injured, three seriously.

No-one has been charged with their killings.

No-one has been held to account for the issue of the outdated rounds.

No-one has been punished for ordering the use of the deadly rounds fired.

Their killers and all those responsible walk free, immune from prosecution.

We call for an end to immunity from prosecution for UN personnel and an independent investigation.

But above all

WE REMEMBER THEM, THEIR FAMILIES, AND THOSE STILL TRYING TO RECOVER FROM THE ORDEAL
